Many commercial real estate owners are moving towards billing tenants for their “real” energy usage instead of the traditional estimated per square foot fee to optimize electric cost allocation and recovery, allowing for an increased transparency between Landlords and Tenants, in addition to being in compliance with New York City’s LL88.
